Fair Ivy: Package #2 – September 2013

I received my second package for September from Fair Ivy, a subscription service that features handmade items.  Skip down for more details on subscription options along with a coupon code.   Now onto the review!

Box

Tucked inside my cardboard box was a lovely little fabric topped Mason jar filled with cajeta traditional goat milk caramel sauce from Bliss Farms Dry Goods.  They describe themselves as a “sweet little family owned micro farm in Northern Arizona”.  They “create fine foods, body care products, visual/funcational art, jewelry and ceramics.”

Verdict:
Hit!

Ingredients are listed as: Goat Milk, evaporated cane juice, Mexican vanilla bean, baking soda
Caramel sauce is a perfect item for the fall.  My birthday is in October and I typically find myself entertaining friends and relatives so I think I’m going to use this sauce in an amazing caramel apple cheesecake dip recipe.  You can check it out here, but be forewarned it’s addicting.

Caramel

I couldn’t find the caramel sauce in the Bliss Farms’ Etsy store, but if you’re dying for a jar, I’d shoot them an email request.  I have no idea how much this costs, but I’d give it a value about $8.00.  So far Fair Ivy has sent me a fabulous silver and gold plated necklace and this awesome caramel sauce.  I can’t wait to see what the last package for September will bring.

THE BACKSTORY

A jewelry only subscription at $25.00 a month (plus shipping) for 1 jewelry item per month.  (This option will ship in the US, Canada & the UK).
