This one was the promised jewelry package and featured artist Candice Vostrejs from Colorado. The little card included described her pieces as a “combination of minimalist and modern combined with the beautiful and decorative style of art nouveau. Her pieces are designed to be beautiful and feminine but simple enough for everyday wear.
Included were itty bitty teeny tiny square silver earrings. They are cute and comfortable. I’d say they are perfect for use in a second earring in each ear. They definitely fall into the subtle and understated category. I’m sure I will get plenty of use out of them, but since Fair Ivy just sent silver studs to me in August, I would have preferred something a bit different.
Verdict: Likeable
I think Fair Ivy would probably be better served to perhaps to do one jewelry item and one other mystery surprise instead of committing themselves to 3 items per month. I think they are locked into these low price points per item, so it can make the variety difficult to come by.
I still like the earrings, but I’m hoping to see a bracelet or even a brooch in next month’s box. I’d love a piece of gemstone jewelry since I’ve only ever received metal.
I couldn’t find an exact match to these in Candice Vostrejs’ Etsy store. I did find some super tiny silver dot earrings that I think are comparable. They are priced at $15.00.
THE BACKSTORY
Fair Ivy is a subscription box of beautifully wrapped, handmade items made by individual artisans.
There are two subscription options:
A jewelry only subscription at $25.00 a month (plus shipping) for 1 jewelry item per month. (This option will ship in the US, Canada & the UK).
Or
An original subscription at $40.00 a month (plus shipping) of 3 handmade items (1 item will be jewelry). (This option only ships in the US).
Because the items ship directly from the artisans, if you choose an original subscription you will receive the packages individually throughout the month.
DISCOUNT CODE: NEWSLETTER2 will get you $2.00 off either subscription.
very cute 🙂
I think their itty bitty size is what makes them super cute.
