So this is my second month of Naturebox. I opted to pick up some snacks I knew we liked and throw in some new ones.
For info on a Naturebox subscription and a coupon code, jump down below. For now, on with the munchies!
Sourdough Cheddar Pretzels
Serving Size= 9 pieces
Calories per serving : 120
Weight Watchers points per serving: 3
Description: Cheesy Pretzel-ly Goodness
Verdict: Love!
You will note that I ordered two of these and that one is already opened. That is because my boyfriend loves these so much he couldn’t wait for me to get my act together and take a picture. If you try out Naturebox you really need to grab these.
Dark Cocoa Almonds
Serving Size= 1/4 cup
Calories per serving : 150
Weight Watchers points per serving: 5
Description: Chocolate covered awesomeness
Verdict: Love!
If you remember last month’s Naturebox review, you know that I selected this and yet they sent me “Oat bran dipping sticks” instead. I was annoyed then and after tasting these I am even more annoyed now. In no universe anywhere, in the history of ever would those sticks be an adequate replacement for these delicious little guys. They are like the chocolate covered almonds from Trader Joe’s but with a thinner coating. A great treat for the folks with a sweet tooth. This one is a must have.
Cherry Crumble Granola
Serving Size= 1/2 cup
Calories per serving : 230
Weight Watchers points per serving: 6
Description: Not Enough Cherries..or Crumbles
Verdict: Miss
Despite my deep love of the Apple granola from my last box, I wanted to try out some other flavors. This one isn’t nearly half as good. It’s pretty bland and there weren’t many cherries in my batch. Again, this granola isn’t crunchy and one bag only contains 1 cup of granola. It’s just not worth the cost, next month I’ll be skipping the granola options.
Chipotle Maple Almonds
Serving Size= 1/4 cup
Calories per serving : 170
Weight Watchers points per serving:5
Description: Slightly sweet almonds with a bit of spice in the aftertaste
Verdict: Like
These were okay. I think they’d actually go well chopped in a salad. I had expected more of smoky taste because of the chipotle but it was subtle. (I love chipotle, so take that with a grain of salt). I didn’t really find anything particularly special about these. You can find spiced nuts anywhere. For me to order these regularly they’d need to be a lot more compelling.
So I got a great deal for a 3 month subscription on Groupon and with a small Groupon credit, I ended up paying only $20 for a 3 month subscription. That comes out to about $6.67 per box. I liked this month much better than last, and I was happy to see I got all my selections. This time everything was edible, even if all the items weren’t that interesting. Again for the low price I paid, I’m more than satisfied, but I’d never pay the full $19.95. You could easily go to Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s and spend that money and get a lot more bang for your buck.
Do you subscribe to Naturebox? If you do, what are your favorite and least favorite treats?

Yay! You got the chocolate almonds? aren’t they delicious? I can’t believe they substituted oat bran sticks for the lol…and those sourdough cheddar pretzels sound yummy too!
The cocoa almonds were the best. They really should just put those in every box. The sourdough pretzels are a great party snack. For my last box I’m making sure to keep both of those included.
Delicious! I wonder how I can order the products directly?
I remember around superbowl time they had a large assortment of snacks you could just order as a one time purchase. I’d shoot them an email and see if they have any offers like that one if you don’t want to subscribe but want to order the snacks directly.
Does the Nature Box provide the Weight Watcher points per serving or is that something you add to your posts? Because… THANK YOU for doing this! These all sound very interesting, but those chipotle maple almonds sound to die for! I don’t think I’d pay nearly $20 for this box, but your $10 code sounds great! I’ll have to keep an eye out for a future Groupon, because the deal you received sounds superb! Thanks for a great and thorough post!
I add the Weight Watchers points since I know so many of us are on the system. Naturebox does offer a lot of promos so if you keep your eyes out, I’m sure you’ll find a good deal. Thanks for reading!
Nature box looks very interesting. Have you tried Graze? I think their snacks packs are smaller, but it’s only $6/ box. I have an invitation code if you need one.
I haven’t tried Graze yet. If you send me your code I’ll add it to my “to try” list. I’m not planning any more snackboxes at the moment, but at $6 a box I might give it a shot for a month.
My Graze code is R214QJ6ZP, and with it you’ll get your 1st and 5th box free! 🙂
