Popsugar Must Have: March 2014

It’s Popsugar time again. So let’s jump into the March box and see what we find.
Box Open

Scarf
Brokedown Blue Ikat Scarf (Retail: $72.00)
Category: Must Have Fashion
Verdict: Gift
Brokedown designed this scarf especially for Popsugar Must Have subscribers, and it’s super soft and nice quality.  Unfortunately I’m just not enthralled with the print.  I know blue is big this season, and I like the blue, but the overall print just isn’t that compelling for me.  I think this will make a great gift for someone who will enjoy the print more.

Peas
Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps (Retail: $2.00)
Category: Must Have Food
Verdict:  Love!
So when I first saw these I was expecting to hate them.  I thought they were dried peas and I just prefer my veggies cooked and fresh.  These were so delicious and not overly salty. Even my boyfriend loved them.  I’ll definitely be picking these up the next time I see them in the grocery store.

Jurlique
Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum (Suggested Retail: $27.00; 30mL: $54.00)
Category: Must Have Beauty
Verdict:  Love!
I adore trying out new serums and I’ve heard wonderful things about Jurlique.  I’m excited to give this one a try.  It also came with a coupon for 15% off on the Jurlique site.

Elephant
Baublebar Elephant Ring Tree (Retail: $12.00)
Category: Must Have Home
Verdict:  Gift
This little guy is certainly adorable.  Unfortunately I have a fancy pants jewelry cabinet with about a million unfilled ring slots, so I don’t need a separate ring holder.  I’ll be adding this cutie to my gift pile. Also included was a 20% off coupon for order over $30 at Baublebar.

Exercise
Activeforever Fusion Exercise Ball (Retail: $9.95)
Category: Must Have Fitness
Verdict:  On the Fence
I appreciate the inclusion of a fitness item, but I didn’t like that we got this ball but no pamphlet or DVD or anything to give us some exercises.  I know we can go online and search for stuff, but I think it’s incomplete.  If you send me a fitness item, I at least want a brochure to give me a few ideas to start with.

Wish
Dogeared Lucky Horsehoe Make a Wish Necklace (Retail: $30.00)
Category: Must Have Fashion
Verdict:  Love!
Okay so I’m super whimsical and the idea of a wish necklace appeals to me immensely.  Basically you make a wish and wear this necklace and when the string breaks your wish is ready to come true.  I have to say that I would never have bought this on my own, but I love it and I’ll be a little sad when it breaks (but not too sad, if my wish really does come true).  This came with a coupon for 20% the dogeared site.

Fig Bar
Nature’s Bakery Stone Ground Whole Wheat Strawberry Fig Bar
(Freebie)
Category: Special Extra
Verdict:  Hit!
This bar was like a fig newton, but better.  I took it to work for breakfast and it was perfect with some coffee.  I would have no problem purchasing these on my own.

Full Box
Overall:
Hit!

I enjoyed this box even if everything wasn’t exactly to my taste.  It had a super high retail value of $152.95 (excluding the fig bar) and well worth the $33.88 I paid.  Once again I feel like Popsugar delivers consistent quality and value in their boxes.

Popsugar has another special edition box showing up next month:  The Must Have Resort.  I’ts Popsugar, Limited Edition and uses the word “resort”, so you know I snapped it up.
If you want to see what’s inside be sure to come back.

So what did you think of the March Popsugar Must Have Box?

Did you love the scarf print?  Was the wish necklace too whimsical for your taste?

    1. If you like snacks like pirate’s bootie, I think you’ll love those crisps. I was really surprised. I’m going to pair that elephant up with a piece of jewelry and make a really cute gift.

  1. I loved the fig bars so much I ordered a case of them from Amazon. My husband promptly took a bunch to work too.

    1. I have them on my amazon wish list as well for my next order of house items. (I also added the snap pea crisps.)

Did you try any of the other fig bar flavors? I’m sure they are all great and I’m wondering if I should mix it up when I order some.
