Orglamix Glam Box: September 2016 Moroccan Hammam + 25% Off

To help fight off the Mondays, I thought I’d post today with one of my favorite subs: Orglamix Glam Box.  It’s always full of fun beauty surprises.  If you’d like to try out a box for yourself use the coupon code VEGAN to save 25%.

The September box had a theme of “Moroccan Hammam”.  “Inspired by the traditional hammam sequence, this ritual succession has been practiced for nearly one thousand years to heal, detoxify and relax the whole body.”

How cool does that sound?  This sub always brings interesting themes.  Now enough chatter let’s get to the goods.
To start the packaging on this one is adorbs.  Seriously, there are really itty bitty dried roses in the crinkle paper.  We’ve already won and we haven’t even started yet.

Rhassoul Body Clay
(Estimated Retail: $10.00)
Description: ”Rhassoul clay is treasured by Moroccan women for its skin firming power, this mineral-rich body clay mask absorbs excess water and oil, allowing skin to tighten and feel firmer as it dries.  The firming clay helps tighten the skin with Rhassoul clay.  It also makes a great facial cleanser and purifying mask, especially for individuals with sensitive skin.  After 4 weeks, skin feels firmer, tight and smoother.  For hair, it helps regulate sebum imbalances, fights flakes and will leave your hair soft and shining…Origin Kingdom of Morocco: quarry mined, sun dried and untreated.”
Verdict:  Hit!
I don’t think I’ve tried this type of mask before and I can’t recall having one that works for so many different purposes.  The instructions say to mix it with your preferred liquid so it seems like it can have a ton of beauty applications.  This will definitely be a lot of fun to experiment with!

Botanical Facial
(Estimated Retail: $15.00)
Description: “A gorgeous bouquet of vibrant balancing, soothing and reparative botanicals for deep down pore purification and cellular hydration.”
Verdict:  Like
The instructions say you add this to boiling water and then put a towel over your face to make a steam tent.  I’ve never used anything like this at home, so it should be fun to try out.

fig perfume
Marrakesh Fig solid perfume
(Estimated Retail: $7.50)
Description: “The sun is at its peak.  The famous fig tree comes in a different guise, fuity and warmed till white-hot by a mist of cedar.  Without being too overpowering this fragrance will become a fall favorite. It’s wonderfully imaginative take on a classic fig. “
Verdict: Love!
I love, love, love Orglamix’s solid perfumes.  They never give me headaches and always smell amazing.  This one has a fresh, fruity scent that transitions nicely from Summer to Fall.

Moroccan Argan Oil (Treatment)

(Estimated Retail: $19.00)
Description: ”Native to Morocco, Argan Oil is often called ‘liquid gold’…it absorbs quickly to soften and smooth dry skin and hair.  Rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, the multitasking formula contains astonish healing, condition, and anti-aging properties to create a nourished, youthful-looking complexion….”
Moroccan Oil is a must have in any beauty cabinet.  You can use it in a million different ways or just add some drops to your favorite products to add some extra moisture.  I actually have a big bottle of Argan Oil currently in my cabinet so I think I’m going to end up giving this one as a gift.

rose cheek-tint cheek-swatch
Moroccan Rose mineral lip + cheek tint

(Estimated Retail: $18.00)
Description: “This 100% natural, ingenious lipstick and blush-in-one proves to be irresistible. This versatile favorite brightens cheeks and lips with creamy, translucent color.  Tap onto cheeks and press onto lips.  The sheer tint adds an inherent glow to the cheeks while lips bloom with fresh, radiant color.”
Verdict: Where have you been all my life?
This color works so well on my skin tone. It has this really cool shimmer tone that compliments my skin so well. It gives that kind of dewy glow that so many makeup products talk about, but can’t seem to deliver.  I’ve used this as a cheek stain and a lip product and I love both applications.  It also works great layered over other lipsticks.  This is hands down my favorite product of the box and one of my fave products of the year.

Description: “A delightful and exotic blend of green tea and mints (spearmint + peppermint) with a hint of lemon and freshly cut lemongrass for a fragrant, refreshing and aromatic tea.  It is a superb drink hot or iced.  Try it Moroccan style, sweetened with sugar.”
Verdict:  Like!
Since this product had no price tag, I’m considering it a nice little bonus extra.  Moroccan tea is a perfect complement to the beauty regimen this box highlights.  Imagine sipping your tea as you relax and enjoy a clay mask.

As usual, Orglamix delivered a fun compelling box with an unusual theme.  I got some new treatments I haven’t tried before plus some makeup I adore.    I received this box for free but the regular month-to-month price is $29.00.  The estimated retail value (based on the included card and excluding the tea) came out to $69.50.  I think this box was a great value at $29.  Just the lip/cheek tint and the Argan oil would have come out to more than that.  Every month Orglamix makes me smile and their boxes always feel special and like someone put a ton of care into their creation.  If you’re interested in natural beauty products this the box for you.
