I know, I know it’s the last day of January and I’m finally getting to my December boxes.  But now I can finally tell you why:  I closed on my very first home! I’m planning a super special post about it including the launch of some new features.  But for now, it’s time to catch up on all the great boxes I’ve been stockpiling.

Today we’ve got the always fun Orglamix Glam Box with their December 2016 “Winter Wonderland” box.  If you’d like to try out a box of vegan, cruelty free natural beauty products for yourself use the coupon code VEGAN to save 25%.

Essential Oil Rollerball – Chill Pill

(Estimated Retail: $18.00)
Description: ”When the world closes in on you and your head feels a size too small, apply a few dabs of Chill Pill on the back of your neck, temples and earlobes. You’ll feel a tingling sensation as pressure tension & tightness being to feel as if they melt away.  Blended from 100% pure and natural, steam-distilled sweet basil, rosemary, laurel ravensara, peppermint, ginger, eucalyptus, and lemon essential oils to reduce the discomforts associated with tension and stress.”
Verdict: I can use all the help I can get
It’s like Orglamix knew that my life for the past few months has been a giant ball of stress.  This has a peppermint scent that feels like it helps clear out congestion. I’m not sure how effective it really is, but it’s probably much better than stress-eating a family size bag of Twizzlers.

cuticle-foot-balm
Hand, Cuticle & Foot Balm – Avocado Wintergreen

(Estimated Retail: $20.00)
Description: “This rich and nourishing Hand, Cuticle & Foot Balm softens and heals rough skin.  It heals with vitamin E, deeply moisturizes with organic shea nut butter and cocoa butter, and repairs and improves texture with organic avocado oil.  It is highly effective for dry, cracked skin and soothes the sense with the stimulating and refreshing scent of wintergreen essential oil.”
Verdict: Like
These types of balms are perfect for winter when your hands really get dry and chapped.  I’m not crazy about the mint scent, but it’s not offensive either and matches up with the Winter theme.

skin-dew
Skin Dew Hydrating Essence – Mist & Setting Spray
(Estimated Retail: $18.00)
Description: “This invigorating essence face mist helps replenish radiance and moisture while protecting and soothing the skin.  It provides an overall sense of wellbeing and freshens makeup on contact….A blend of essential oils including rosemary, tangerine and peppermint, provide a fresh and energizing aroma.  The natural polymers help to set makeup by stopping oil migration, which results in a more radiant appearance throughout the day. “
Verdict: Like!
I’m really intrigued by the idea of a hydrating essence that is also a makeup setting spray.  I feel like a lot of makeup setting sprays aren’t necessarily good for your skin, so this will be really nice to try out.

snowstorm-label snowstorm snow-swatch
Snow Storm – Almost Matte Eyeshadow

(Estimated Retail: $12.00)
Description: ”…This time of year, frosted eyeshadow can make your skin too washed-out.  Instead, light up the room with this shade of winter white.  It can be worn alone or layered with other shades for a perfectly contoured, uncomplicated eye.”
Verdict: Love!
This is one of Orglamix’s new matte eyeshadows and is my favorite item in the box.  I think it looks great on my super pale skin.  Just a little of this with a cat eye liner gives a great look.  It’s also works well mixed with other shadows.  An awesome pick.

frostbite-label gloss gloss-swatch
Frost Bite – Tinted Lip Whip
(Estimated Retail: $12.00)
Description: ”Tinted Lip Whip gives a subtle, slightly pink hue to your lips.  It moisturizes for hours without feeling heavy, oily, or sticky.  The all-natural, multitasking formula can be used alone as a lip treatment or over a lipstick or lip sheen for a glossy boost.”
Verdict: Like!
When I first saw the pink I was a little worried, but as you can see from the swatch it comes off with just a bit of shimmer.  On its own the color isn’t very noticeable, but it does feel nice on the lips.  The sheen has a bit of blue to it, which looks lovely layered over other lipsticks.

This box felt a bit more practical than some of the previous Orglamix offerings.  The winter vibe came through and it also felt a bit like a self-care theme.  I receive this box for free in order to review it, but the estimated value came out to a whopping $80 which is quite nice for a box that only costs $29.
My January box is sitting on my desk at home, just waiting to be opened so be sure to come back for some more Orglamix reviews!
