Despite my overflowing makeup box, I don’t have many matte lip products so I was excited to nab a few in my box. Verdict: So close to perfect

Color: “Victorian Pink Matte”
I’ve been searching for a great everyday pink – something to pair with a simple cat eye. This color was almost perfect, it leans just a touch too yellow for my complexion. The formula is great though and goes on matte without over-drying your lips. I don’t get 12 hours out of it, but it’s definitely more durable than a lot of my other lip products.

I thought I’d take a chance on this one and it is so much lovelier in person than on the screen. It’s a saturated shade that can go glam or laid back. I also think it would work well for a variety of skin tones.

Verdict: Hit!
These aren’t available for individual purchase so I couldn’t link them or give you a price. I thought they looked really fun and something I could use with my jelly polishes for some interesting looks.

Verdict: Like!
While I still haven’t found the perfect everyday matte lip shade, I still thought the lip products were quite nice. As I mentioned, Julep has a really great formula and I hope they continue to make more shades. The shatter stickers are fun and great for folks who aren’t adept at nail art, but still want to try something different. Excluding the cost of the shatter stickers, the retail value of this box was $40 and the maven value was $32. I paid $21.39 and I think I got my money’s worth. Even excluding the stickers, that’s like paying $10 per lip product, which is basically akin to drugstore pricing Personally, I feel the “It’s Whipped” products have superior packaging and formula to anything I can find in my local Rite Aid.
