My Writing

Growing up I loved reading. Stories took me to faraway places where I could captain a pirate ship one day and find the murderer the next, then at the end of the week use my magic to save the world.  I fell in love with the words.  I devoured poetry books that, for me, became how story and song intersected.

It wasn’t long before I wanted to tell my own stories: ones I hadn’t found anywhere else. When you start a story, it’s like jumping off a cliff– you just need faith that you can fly (or that if you can’t, you’ll find a way to patch yourself back up and start over again).

Audrey Hepburn said, “If I’m honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all.”

  • @ Bookish Bron
“Overall this was a fun read that, despite the ice, left me feeling warm and nostalgic.”
  • @ Jill Jemmett’s Book Blog
“I like the way this story brought a fairytale/folk tale into the modern world…This is a good story with a unique premise.”
  • @Le Coeur de l’Artiste
“Preziosi writes for both a youthful audience and adult when weaving this captivating tale. You’ll settle yourself in a chair not unlike Mrs. Kinder does and not want to leave until the very end.”
  • @Bookworm for Kids
“With a bit of the feel of The Princess Bride, this is an enchanting fairy tale and more… Although this book is intended for the readers ages eight and up, it’s something that adults will enjoy as well. The heroes hit upon topics which adults will relate to as well. I can see this especially nice as a read-aloud.”
  • @ Brandy’s Bookshelf
“This book is FANTASTIC! I loved the story-within-a-story, and it immediately reminded me of one of my favorite movies (can you guess which movie I’m talking about?!). I really enjoyed the separate, yet intertwined stories of Gabriel and Sebastian. I enjoyed reading their separate adventures and was pleased to see how they came to reach their end goal together. Their adventures were page-turning and it made it hard to put the book down!”
  • @ Goodreads
    • “I encourage anyone who enjoys storytelling to read this book.”
    • “The characters were easy to fall in love with. I couldn’t put this book down. I also loved the twist at the end and that it wasn’t predictable.”
    • “This story within a story meant there were two narratives to explore, and the way the two were ultimately aligned left me closing this book with a heart both heavy with loss for its occupants and buoyed with hope for their future without the reader.”
    • “Highly underrated. A truly amazing book suitable for young readers and thoroughly enjoyable for adults. could not recommend it more highly.”
  • @ Amazon
    • “The power of hope and storytelling and family wind throughout the pages of the book, and they’re entwined in the heart of the stories. This is going on my bookshelf with Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm.”
    • “Wonderful story that pulls you in to its pages from start to finish. Great for both the young and the young at heart…”
    • “Reading this book will conjure the same feeling you had as a kid, watching the Neverending Story or The Princess Bride. It’s such a pure story, story telling at its best.”
    • “The author has created a truly riveting tale with elements of good vs evil, light vs dark, and sprinkled in some love and romance.
    • This book reads like a movie, she painted a colorful picture with vivid descriptions and imagery. This is a children’s book, but I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy and fairytales!”
    • “…the reader is transformed into a child, being read to before bed-time and with their dreams full of lost lands. This story within a story meant there were two narratives to explore, and the way the two were ultimately aligned left me closing this book with a heart both heavy with loss for its occupants and buoyed with hope for their future without the reader.”
    • “This story has just the right number of plot twists and turns to keep your imagination satisfied. Great for a summer afternoon by the pool or a snow day under the blankets!”
    • “It was as if I was a child, again, and found that magical, adventurous book that I enjoyed while reading and then wished it didn’t end. I recommend putting “The Ice Maiden’s Tale” on your book case with The Classics!”
